5月20日，英国皇家学会官方网站消息，今年有95位对科学研究作出杰出贡献的科学家新当选为英国皇家学会院士（FRS），其中包括24名外籍院士。我国4位学者当选英国皇家学会外籍院士，均为中国科学院院士。另外，还有4位当选院士为华裔或中国内地大学校友。
英国皇家学会成立于1660年，是英国最高学术机构，也是世界上历史最悠久而又从未中断过的科学学会。英国皇家学会院士的评选旨在表彰当选者作为各自领域的领导者，对科学研究作出的宝贵贡献。英国皇家学会现有1800余位院士，包含80余位诺贝尔奖得主。牛顿、法拉第、达尔文、麦克斯韦、爱因斯坦、狄拉克以及DNA双螺旋结构的发现者沃森和克里克等著名科学家都是英国皇家学会院士。
部分新当选学者简介如下：
出生于1963年4月，作物基因组与遗传学家。1985年获得安徽师范大学学士学位，1988年获得广西农学院（现广西大学）分子遗传学硕士学位，1992年获得英国约翰英纳斯中心博士学位。2013年当选为中国科学院院士。2014年当选为发展中国家科学院院士。
曾任中国科学院上海生命科学研究院植物生理生态研究所所长，中国科学院上海生命科学研究院副院长。现任中国科学院分子植物科学卓越创新中心研究员、主任，中国科学院国家基因研究中心主任。
长期从事水稻的基因组学和数量遗传学研究。完成了对水稻第四号染色体的精确测序和综合分析，开创了水稻全基因组关联分析的体系，系统研究了栽培稻的起源和驯化过程，发现并鉴定了多个控制水稻重要农艺性状的功能基因，为水稻遗传学领域的发展做出了贡献。
男，汉族，1971年出生，中共党员，博士，研究员，博士生导师，中国科学院院士。现任中国热带农业科学院院长、中国农业科学院（深圳）农业基因组研究所研究员、热带作物生物育种全国重点实验室主任。兼任中国植物生理与植物分子生物学学会副理事长、中国植物学会副理事长、Cell杂志学术顾问。曾任中国农业科学院副院长、中国农业科学院（深圳）农业基因组研究所所长。
长期致力于植物基因组学和遗传育种研究。创建了马铃薯有性杂交育种体系，把马铃薯从薯块繁殖的四倍体作物改造成为种子繁殖的二倍体作物；发现了黄瓜苦味物质生物合成和调控的关键基因，解决了抗性与品质矛盾这一育种难题；发现了影响番茄风味的主要化合物及其遗传位点，提出了“代谢组指导育种”思路和番茄风味改良路线图。
先后任国家973项目首席科学家，获国家杰出青年科学基金资助，主持国家自然科学基金重大项目、国家重点研发计划等多项重大科研课题。获国家自然科学二等奖（第一完成人）、何梁何利科学与技术进步奖、周光召基金会基础科学奖和全国创新争先奖，发表SCI论文150余篇。2023年当选中国科学院院士。
杨学明，男，1962年10月生，汉族，无党派民主人士。中国科学院大连化学物理研究所研究员，分子反应动力学国家重点实验室化学动力学研究中心主任，中国化学会化学动力学专业委员会主任，国家同步辐射实验室用户专家委员会主任。2012年4月至2017年3月任中国科学院大连化学物理研究所副所长。2011年当选为中国科学院院士。2018年2月当选第十三届全国人民代表大会代表。
1991年获美国加州大学圣巴巴拉分校博士学位。曾在美国普林斯顿大学，加州大学劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室，台湾中研院原子与分子科学研究所做博士后、访问和工作。
主要从事气相及表面化学动力学研究。过去二十年，他利用自行研制和原创的一系列国际领先的科学仪器，在化学反应动力学研究方面取得了系列性的、备受国际瞩目的重要研究成果。此外，他还应邀担了国际分子束会议，国际分子光谱会议（Ohio）以及国际立体动力学会议的咨询委员。
实验高能物理学家，1963年2月生于江苏省南京市，籍贯江苏南通。1984年毕业于南京大学物理系，1991年在意大利佛罗伦萨大学获博士学位。2015年当选中国科学院院士。2016年当选俄罗斯科学院外籍院士,2016年当选发展中国家科学院院士。中国科学院高能物理研究所研究员、所长。
长期从事高能物理实验研究。领导完成了北京正负电子对撞机上的北京谱仪III（BESIII）的设计、研制、运行和前期物理研究，技术上达到国际先进水平并发现了一系列新粒子和新现象，在轻强子谱和粲物理研究方面处于国际领先地位。提出了大亚湾中微子实验方案并率领团队完成了实验的设计、研制、运行和物理研究，发现了一种新的中微子振荡模式。该成果入选美国《科学》杂志2012年全球十大科学突破，获得2016年度国家自然科学一等奖。提出并领导了江门中微子实验，成为我国中微子研究的发展方向。
因在粒子物理实验领域的突出贡献，被评为“十佳全国科技工作者”、CCTV十大科技创新人物，荣获周光召基金基础科学奖、何梁何利基金科技进步奖、潘诺夫斯基实验粒子物理学奖、“日经亚洲奖”科学技术奖、基础物理学突破奖、庞蒂科夫奖。
新加坡南洋理工大学材料科学与工程校长讲席教授、新加坡国家科学院院士、新加坡工程院院士、德国科学院院士、英国皇家化学会会士和中国化学会会士。目前担任南洋理工大学柔性器件创新中心主任、Max Planck-NTU人工感知联合实验室主任，新加坡混合集成下一代微电子中心副主任和数字分子分析与科学研究中心副主任。陈教授研究兴趣包括力材料学与工程，纳米生物界面，柔性电子技术和医疗健康智能化等。
陈教授目前是国际著名纳米科技期刊ACS Nano主编，同时是Advanced Materials、Matter、CCS Chemistry、Small和Nanoscale等二十来个国际期刊顾问编委。鉴于他在学术领域的杰出贡献，他曾获得新加坡总统科学奖、新加坡国立研究基金会研究奖、Small青年创新奖、洪堡基金会贝塞尔研究奖、Dan Maydan纳米科学奖和Kabiller青年研究奖等众多荣誉。
马文勃教授因揭示微生物病原菌与植物宿主间复杂分子互作机制的研究而享誉国际。她在病原菌效应因子方面的研究，发现了病原菌诱发植物病害的关键毒性策略。她亦是确立小RNA在植物抗非病毒病原体免疫中作用的先驱之一。其研究极大推动了人类对植物免疫与微生物致病分子机制的理解，奠定了她在植物科学研究中的权威地位。
马文勃教授对科学界的贡献远不止于杰出研究。她始终致力于培养青年科学家，这一特质为同行所公认。成长于中国、求学于加拿大、曾任职于美国、现扎根英国的经历，使她格外关注女性、国际研究人员和第一代学者的发展。她已指导数十名博士后与学生，其中许多人已成为独立课题组负责人。
黄教授本科毕业于新加坡国立大学医学专业并获总统奖学金，后于美国约翰·霍普金斯大学深造并获得公共卫生硕士学位和博士学位。他在新加坡全国眼科中心完成眼科临床培训；在美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校和澳大利亚悉尼大学完成视网膜专科医师培训。
2022年，黄教授出任Tsinghua Medicine创始主任及讲席教授。Tsinghua Medicine是清华大学新创立的学术医学健康体系。2014年至2021年，黄教授担任新加坡全国眼科中心医学主任兼眼科教授（Arthur Lim Professor）。
他是新加坡国立大学顶尖研究员，两次获得杰出研究员奖（2004年和2009年）及澳大利亚墨尔本大学Woodward Medal。2010年，被授予新加坡全国杰出临床医师科学家奖和新加坡总统科学奖；2014年，荣获新加坡总统科学与科技奖，此为表彰新加坡健康科学贡献的最高荣誉。黄教授是新加坡国家科学院院士（该院仅有两名医师院士）。2020年，当选美国国家医学院外籍院士；2021年，当选澳大利亚健康与医学科学院外籍（通讯）院士。2023年，黄教授获北京市人民政府授予的第16届北京市“长城友谊奖”。
陈志坚，1966年出生于福建省泉州市安溪县，1985年毕业于福建师范大学本科，并考取本校生物化学专业硕士研究生。1986年考取美国纽约州立大学；1991年获得美国纽约州立大学博士学位后，到美国圣地亚哥的索克研究所从事博士后研究；1997年进入美国德克萨斯大学西南医学中心工作，先后担任分子生物学系助理教授、副教授、终身教授；2005年担任美国霍华德·休斯医学研究所研究员；2014年当选美国国家科学院院士，2022年当选美国国家医学院院士，成为美国国家科学院、医学院“双院士”。主要从事天然免疫过程中细胞信号转导机制的研究，取得了一系列前沿领域的突破性成果。

长期致力于植物基因组学和遗传育种研究。创建了马铃薯有性杂交育种体系，把马铃薯从薯块繁殖的四倍体作物改造成为种子繁殖的二倍体作物；发现了黄瓜苦味物质生物合成和调控的关键基因，解决了抗性与品质矛盾这一育种难题；发现了影响番茄风味的主要化合物及其遗传位点，提出了“代谢组指导育种”思路和番茄风味改良路线图。
先后任国家973项目首席科学家，获国家杰出青年科学基金资助，主持国家自然科学基金重大项目、国家重点研发计划等多项重大科研课题。获国家自然科学二等奖（第一完成人）、何梁何利科学与技术进步奖、周光召基金会基础科学奖和全国创新争先奖，发表SCI论文150余篇。2023年当选中国科学院院士。
杨学明，男，1962年10月生，汉族，无党派民主人士。中国科学院大连化学物理研究所研究员，分子反应动力学国家重点实验室化学动力学研究中心主任，中国化学会化学动力学专业委员会主任，国家同步辐射实验室用户专家委员会主任。2012年4月至2017年3月任中国科学院大连化学物理研究所副所长。2011年当选为中国科学院院士。2018年2月当选第十三届全国人民代表大会代表。
1991年获美国加州大学圣巴巴拉分校博士学位。曾在美国普林斯顿大学，加州大学劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室，台湾中研院原子与分子科学研究所做博士后、访问和工作。
主要从事气相及表面化学动力学研究。过去二十年，他利用自行研制和原创的一系列国际领先的科学仪器，在化学反应动力学研究方面取得了系列性的、备受国际瞩目的重要研究成果。此外，他还应邀担了国际分子束会议，国际分子光谱会议（Ohio）以及国际立体动力学会议的咨询委员。

长期从事高能物理实验研究。领导完成了北京正负电子对撞机上的北京谱仪III（BESIII）的设计、研制、运行和前期物理研究，技术上达到国际先进水平并发现了一系列新粒子和新现象，在轻强子谱和粲物理研究方面处于国际领先地位。提出了大亚湾中微子实验方案并率领团队完成了实验的设计、研制、运行和物理研究，发现了一种新的中微子振荡模式。该成果入选美国《科学》杂志2012年全球十大科学突破，获得2016年度国家自然科学一等奖。提出并领导了江门中微子实验，成为我国中微子研究的发展方向。
因在粒子物理实验领域的突出贡献，被评为“十佳全国科技工作者”、CCTV十大科技创新人物，荣获周光召基金基础科学奖、何梁何利基金科技进步奖、潘诺夫斯基实验粒子物理学奖、“日经亚洲奖”科学技术奖、基础物理学突破奖、庞蒂科夫奖。
新加坡南洋理工大学材料科学与工程校长讲席教授、新加坡国家科学院院士、新加坡工程院院士、德国科学院院士、英国皇家化学会会士和中国化学会会士。目前担任南洋理工大学柔性器件创新中心主任、Max Planck-NTU人工感知联合实验室主任，新加坡混合集成下一代微电子中心副主任和数字分子分析与科学研究中心副主任。陈教授研究兴趣包括力材料学与工程，纳米生物界面，柔性电子技术和医疗健康智能化等。

马文勃教授因揭示微生物病原菌与植物宿主间复杂分子互作机制的研究而享誉国际。她在病原菌效应因子方面的研究，发现了病原菌诱发植物病害的关键毒性策略。她亦是确立小RNA在植物抗非病毒病原体免疫中作用的先驱之一。其研究极大推动了人类对植物免疫与微生物致病分子机制的理解，奠定了她在植物科学研究中的权威地位。
马文勃教授对科学界的贡献远不止于杰出研究。她始终致力于培养青年科学家，这一特质为同行所公认。成长于中国、求学于加拿大、曾任职于美国、现扎根英国的经历，使她格外关注女性、国际研究人员和第一代学者的发展。她已指导数十名博士后与学生，其中许多人已成为独立课题组负责人。
黄教授本科毕业于新加坡国立大学医学专业并获总统奖学金，后于美国约翰·霍普金斯大学深造并获得公共卫生硕士学位和博士学位。他在新加坡全国眼科中心完成眼科临床培训；在美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校和澳大利亚悉尼大学完成视网膜专科医师培训。
2022年，黄教授出任Tsinghua Medicine创始主任及讲席教授。Tsinghua Medicine是清华大学新创立的学术医学健康体系。2014年至2021年，黄教授担任新加坡全国眼科中心医学主任兼眼科教授（Arthur Lim Professor）。
他是新加坡国立大学顶尖研究员，两次获得杰出研究员奖（2004年和2009年）及澳大利亚墨尔本大学Woodward Medal。2010年，被授予新加坡全国杰出临床医师科学家奖和新加坡总统科学奖；2014年，荣获新加坡总统科学与科技奖，此为表彰新加坡健康科学贡献的最高荣誉。黄教授是新加坡国家科学院院士（该院仅有两名医师院士）。2020年，当选美国国家医学院外籍院士；2021年，当选澳大利亚健康与医学科学院外籍（通讯）院士。2023年，黄教授获北京市人民政府授予的第16届北京市“长城友谊奖”。
陈志坚，1966年出生于福建省泉州市安溪县，1985年毕业于福建师范大学本科，并考取本校生物化学专业硕士研究生。1986年考取美国纽约州立大学；1991年获得美国纽约州立大学博士学位后，到美国圣地亚哥的索克研究所从事博士后研究；1997年进入美国德克萨斯大学西南医学中心工作，先后担任分子生物学系助理教授、副教授、终身教授；2005年担任美国霍华德·休斯医学研究所研究员；2014年当选美国国家科学院院士，2022年当选美国国家医学院院士，成为美国国家科学院、医学院“双院士”。主要从事天然免疫过程中细胞信号转导机制的研究，取得了一系列前沿领域的突破性成果。
